I totally get what you mean by the top of your body not changing much but the bottom half fluctuating! I just had to say goodbye to a bunch of jeans and pants from 2-3 years ago because my thighs have gotten bigger, and I've discovered that, unless it is a wide-leg/loose-fitting pant, I *have* to buy a curvy fit; otherwise, they're going to cut into the tops of my thighs and be uncomfortable or plain unwearable.

I like the soft contour bike shorts from Understance. The shorter inseam is nice because it doesn't peak out from mini skirts/dresses. I find them lightweight and not compressive at all.

So my husband gives me his boxer briefs whenever they're a little tight and they're kinda wonderful...

For an inexpensive option on the chafing shorts I ordered slip shorts on Amazon (brand mererio) they are super breathable and the nude doesn’t show under light colors.

For chaffing shorts I highly recommend "ASSETS by SPANX Women's Thintuition Shaping Mid-Thigh Slimmer". They don't do anything shape wear wise, but they are super comfortable/lightweight and I wear them under all of my dresses. I got mine at Target for $28, but other places sell them as well. I purchased them in a small, but in Spanx bottoms I usually get a medium. Love the video! I find our styles are very different, but just the whole story telling and concepts behind the outfits interest me. I love seeing other people's fashion styles.

Loved your looks! A rafia bag would also look great with most of them. Sometimes i find leather bags too wintery for summer, specially the black ones.

I started doing this year too. It has saved me from purchases I might regret because if I can't style it with what I have then I can just return. If it does work out then its fun to connect clothes you own with your new piece. Like you it gave better appreciation for my current closet.

Sorry you can’t see the shoes better in the video!! Please remember that I live in a small NYC apartment and there simply is no room to get a full shot. If I tilt the camera down more you won’t see more of the shoes, you’d see my bed frame that I have rigged a tripod to. This is the best I got! 😂💗

I use Chamois Butter. Got it on Amazon one container lasted me about 3 years. It works perfectly. It's a cream easily application and dries quickly and clear.

i also had my eyes on those flats for MONTHS. sad when i pulled the trigger and i didnt end up liking the way they looked on my feet though :( love your first fit and the blazer!

These shoes are gorgeous 😍 The boxers from knotty knickers are great for anti-chafing they are light and breathable and somehow don’t roll up the thighs, and a plus for me is not having to add another layer in the summer, underwear and shorts in one!

For anti-chafe shorts - The short cotton bike short from old navy is thicker than what you’re describing but not at all shapewear - super comfortable! And they breathe! Those are what I wear under teeny cute dresses and skirts

Growing up in manhattan, my closed toe summer shoe lifestyle was solidfied at a very young age. I only started buying "slide" sandals that still mostly cover your feet like two years ago for errands now that I moved out.

The best sneakers I own that are samba-like are the onitsuka tiger Mexico 66. They are similar in shape and style but the leather is sooo much softer. They truly feel like being barefoot
